New eBook Platform
The Luzerne County Library System and Wilkes-Barre Library District are in the process of updating our eBook/eAudio platform to provide users with a better experience. During the upgrade, our eBook resources will be interrupted, eBooks will be unavailable for checkout between March 1 and March 17. We expect to have our new services fully operational by the end of March. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Watch for more info and training.

2020 Census
In mid-March, homes across the country will begin receiving invitations to complete the 2020 Census. Once the invitation arrives, you should respond for your home in one of three ways: online, by phone, or by mail. Don’t forget, the library provides access to internet computers for those that may not have access to the internet at home. This includes access to free Wi-Fi. The library has other Census related information available to those whom may be interested.

Tax Forms
The library serves as a distribution point for some federal and state income tax forms. Federal forms and instruction booklets are available for pick-up. State forms and schedules are available to copy or print at .10 a page.

Rock on: Adult Craft

For the month of March attendees will be making kindness rocks to share in our community. Kindness rocks are painted rocks that are left out for someone to find. We will be supplying rocks but feel free to bring any palm-sized rocks (or smaller) with you to paint. Attendees will be using acrylic paint which can permanently stain clothing. Please wear comfortable clothes. Seats are still available for Monday, March 30. Attendees will be meeting at 6:00 in the community room.  Please use the Green Street entrance. Registration is required, as space is limited. Please contact the library’s Reference Desk in person or by phone at 570-454-2961 to sign up.
