The program will begin at 10:00. Wilma Ruggiero will present Adventures and Holidays at the Orange Barnge, the third installment in her Orange Barnge children’s series. This book follows recurring character, Tannon Fortuna, and his farm animals as they celebrate various holidays at the Orange Barnge, including Christmas. She will be giving away several copies of her first two books. Author Shannon Marsyada, and illustrator Jennifer Witner, two local artists, have created a novel entitled Qatan. The book was inspired by the verse from Isaiah, “and the wolf shall be guest of the lamb." Shannon took it and created the short story about a wolf named Qatan (Hebrew for "the least") being selected by God for a very special task. Not realizing his own worth, Qatan completes the mission and receives Christ's reward. Marsyada and Witner will be selling Qatan at $10 apiece. As both books touch upon Christmas and holiday themes, this is a timely event for the season.
